British Airways (BA) has announced changes to its flight routes to four major destinations starting in October this year. These changes include the relocation of flight departures from London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, which is especially significant for British tourists traveling to Fuerteventura.

The four destinations that will be affected by these changes are: Costa Rica (San Jose), Tampa, Fuerteventura, and Innsbruck. According to the latest official statistics, 576,338 British tourists traveled to the Canary Islands in July alone, indicating a 37% presence of Britons in these islands.
With these changes, travelers should check their flight departures before their journey to avoid the risk of missing their flights. Below are the details of the announced flight changes:
Details of Flight Changes
- Costa Rica (San Jose): Flights will start from October 25 from London Heathrow instead of Gatwick (one-way flight from £696).
- Tampa, Florida: Flights will start from October from London Heathrow instead of Gatwick (one-way flight from £729).
- Fuerteventura, Spain: Flights will start from December 13 from London Heathrow instead of Gatwick (one-way flight from £118).
- Innsbruck, Austria: Flights will start from December 7 from London Gatwick instead of Heathrow (one-way flight from £70).
If travelers have already booked tickets for these flights, British Airways has announced that they will be offered options for flight changes or full refunds. Additionally, flight changes for the destinations Tampa and Costa Rica have been announced to travelers since March, and for Fuerteventura and Innsbruck since July.

The costs for round-trip flights from London to the mentioned destinations are as follows:
- Round-trip flight from London Heathrow to San Jose from £934.49 (from October 14 to 21).
- Round-trip flight from London Heathrow to Tampa from £648 (from October 14 to 21).
- Round-trip flight from London Heathrow to Fuerteventura from £270.95 (from December 17 to 24).
- Round-trip flight from London Gatwick to Innsbruck from £275.10 (from December 22 to 29).
In addition to these changes, British Airways also has plans to launch new flights this fall and winter. These flights include new routes to Finland and Barbados, allowing travelers to make the most of the holiday season.
