Spencer Matthews has recently spoken about the new challenges he has experienced with the arrival of his fourth child named Rami. The 38-year-old Matthews mentioned the new status of his family and its difficulties in a conversation with his friend Jamie Laing on the podcast 'Newly Parents'.

Challenges of Being a Father

Matthews and his wife, Vogue Williams, welcomed their new child earlier this month. Williams spoke in a post about the joy and love in their home after Rami's birth. The couple initially planned to name their child 'Elvis', but after consulting with family and friends, they arrived at a new name inspired by the Disney world.

However, Matthews pointed out the challenges they face due to the arrival of the newborn in the family alongside their other children, Theodore (7 years old), Gigi (6 years old), and Otto (4 years old). He explained that they are currently living in a rented house, which has added emotional and familial chaos.

Feelings of Loneliness and Lack of Time

Spencer went on to mention the lack of time for himself and Vogue, saying, 'We both feel somewhat lonely.' He also stated that due to broken sleep, the quality of family life has been affected. Matthews is currently sleeping in the guest room with his sons while Vogue is with the newborn in another room.

The star of 'Made in Chelsea' expressed that separate sleeping arrangements are not pleasant for them, saying, 'It feels like you are in a conflict because you are sleeping in separate rooms.' He also reflected on his relationship with his father, noting that he too had a lack of time during his childhood due to work commitments, but still has a good relationship with him.

As the father of the family, Spencer is responsible for managing the daily needs of the three older children while Vogue needs to focus on Rami and rest. He concluded by stating, 'I love my children, but I can easily distance myself from them, and I think that’s natural.'
