A terrifying incident occurred on a Qatar Airways flight from Melbourne to Doha, during which two male passengers became extremely angry and were ultimately handcuffed. The flight, which took place on Friday, quickly turned into a scene of chaos.
Anger and Threats in the Sky
The two passengers, who suddenly became enraged and agitated, began attempting to leave their seats and roam the cabin after boarding the plane. With only about six hours left until landing, the situation deteriorated significantly. The individuals attacked each other and verbally abused passengers and crew members.
Eyewitnesses claimed that the two men were continuously threatening and shockingly declared that they had a weapon. One passenger stated that they were "shouting that they wanted to hit and kill people," while another added that they had attacked the flight attendants and even spat at them.
Response to the Crisis
In this situation, a 63-year-old woman who was messaging her family via the plane's Wi-Fi rushed to help a man named James, who attempted to subdue one of the men. According to witnesses, each of these men required six or seven people to restrain them, and this situation continued until landing.
After landing, Doha police arrested the two men as soon as the plane arrived, and this action was met with cheers and applause from the passengers. Qatar Airways stated in a statement that the safety and well-being of their staff and passengers is their priority and that this incident will be taken seriously.
This incident comes just days after images of an American passenger who was glued to his seat were circulated on social media, and he was also expelled due to his racist and violent behavior.
