Two games published by Sony, Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition, have unexpectedly been removed from the Steam store in the UK. This action comes as only UK users are affected by this change, and they are unable to purchase these games.

Strange Situation of Games on Steam

Currently, the purchase links for these two games have vanished from Steam, and instead, a message stating "This item is not currently available in your region" is displayed. This situation arises while checking other games published by Sony shows that there are no issues accessing them, and American users can easily find Helldivers 2 and Horizon Forbidden West in their Steam store.

Impacts and Reactions

Although the exact time of the removal of these two games from Steam is unclear, it seems they have not been available since last night. This change means that new users lose the ability to purchase these games, but those who have previously purchased them can continue to play.

While some players are concerned whether Sony is looking to remove its games from PC platforms to force users to buy the PlayStation 5 console, Sony has emphasized that this is a system error and is working with Valve to rectify it. The exact time for fixing this issue is still unknown.

This issue is considered minor compared to the larger problems that occurred on Steam last week. Recently, several achievements from various games on Steam have leaked, revealing story details of titles such as Fable, Persona 6, and Kingdom Hearts 4.

However, Sony still faces challenges regarding its credibility. Many fans are unhappy with the company's decision to phase out physical games after 2027, and the cancellation of the game Physint directed by Hideo Kojima has added to the concerns. This game will now be published by Xbox, although it is still unclear whether this title will be released exclusively for Xbox or made available across multiple platforms.
