Aran Row, one of the artists who left the tour, stated in a statement that "Iranians are well acquainted with genocide, imposed famine, and brutal occupation," referring to Israel's military actions in Palestine.

Dave Kelly, the program director of Bay Broadcasting, which operates Classic Hits radio, stated in a statement: "Our decision to remove Ed Sheeran's music from the playlist has been carefully considered. This decision is not a personal judgment against Ed Sheeran, and we have taken his explanations regarding recent circumstances into account."
Kelly also added: "As an independent Irish radio, we believe it is important to listen to the voices of our audience and stand with Irish artists who have made significant decisions based on their beliefs." He emphasized: "Ultimately, our position is simple. We believe in peace, humanity, and respect, and we honor the right of individuals and artists to express and act upon their honest opinions."
Classic Hits radio has also announced that this decision will be reviewed in the future. Ed Sheeran, who culturally identifies as Irish, has previously stated that Ireland is somewhat of a "second home" to him.
Financial and Social Reactions
After being removed from the tour, Macklemore announced that he would donate his net income of one million dollars from this tour to charities supporting the people of Palestine. He has also asked Robert Kraft to match this amount. Kraft responded that Sheeran had asked him to donate the equivalent of two million dollars before Macklemore made this challenge.
