The sixth season of the series 'Slow Horses', which narrates the story of failed spies, has managed to capture the audience's attention with its return. This season has reached a new peak of tension and excitement with tragic deaths and ruthless violence.

Dark Story and Complex Characters

In this season, the main and supporting characters of 'Slow Horses' are put in danger one after another. Two cold and emotionless characters, played by Myana Buring and Kyle Soller, execute a deadly plan against them. These murders are designed in such a way that no one at MI5, except for Jackson Lamb (played by Gary Oldman), cares about them. Despite considering these spies as losers, Lamb still feels a sense of belonging to them.

Alongside this story, Diana Taverner (played by Kristin Scott Thomas) has been promoted to the head of the management desk. However, she soon faces a major financial problem that forces her to do a television interview. This interview puts her in a difficult situation and makes her inevitably pay attention to 'Slow Horses'.

Strengths and Weaknesses of Season Six

However, Season Six of 'Slow Horses' seems to have struggled to maintain its previous standards. With the departure of Will Smith, the main writer, this season faces issues with coordination and innovation. Many of the jokes and famous dialogues seen in previous seasons seem to have not landed well in this season.

The return of Frank Harkness (played by Hugh Waving) as a reminder of the weaknesses of Season Four, especially the personal issues of 'River' (played by Jack Loudon), also adds to the intensity of the story. Although the interactions between the characters remain engaging, the final outcome seems somewhat disappointing compared to previous seasons.

This season also impacts the audience's emotions with the deaths of several beloved characters. The reactions of their colleagues to these deaths, especially in critical times, are well portrayed. Nevertheless, some dialogues and jokes seem repetitive and dull.

Season Six of 'Slow Horses', consisting of 6 episodes, has been available on Apple TV since September 16, with subsequent episodes released weekly. Although this season is not considered the best of the series, it still has attractions that encourage fans to watch it.
