Critics have described The Last Photograph as "shameful" and "completely indefensible." In a conversation with the media, Snyder addressed the negative feedback, particularly reacting to labels that called him a "fascist." He said, "Yes. This morning, when I checked my X account, the discussions were very heated. 'I want to kill Zack Snyder' and 'Zack Snyder is a fascist' were among the comments I saw.

The Film 300 and Snyder's Statements
In response to the criticism, Snyder referred to the film 300 and stated that he considers it the "most expansive film in history." He explained, referencing its screening at the Berlin Film Festival, "At that exact time, the same discussions arose about this film, and some viewers harshly criticized it and left the theater during the screening. These experiences seem to be somewhat predictable and are dependent on subsequent developments in cinema.
Snyder emphasized that "we are all human" and stated that ultimately it is just a film. He also pointed out that negative feedback may be influenced by people's prior feelings towards him. Referring to the screening of 300 in Berlin, he said, "This is exactly what happened here. At that time, questions arose about whether I was a fascist director or not, and I clearly answered that I am 'a bit of both.'
Zack Snyder's Future
Furthermore, Zack Snyder talked about his future projects. He mentioned studying the comic Dead Samurai, which is about a zombie apocalypse in feudal Japan. He also expressed his interest in making a film based on Rick and Morty and his desire to adapt The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Currently, The Last Photograph does not have an official release date.
