Jennifer Garner has recently decided to exit the film "Animals" by Ben Affleck after he was cast as her husband in the film. The two actors, who married in 2005 and divorced in 2018, despite having a friendly relationship for the sake of their children, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel, found it difficult to portray a husband and wife on the silver screen.

Friendly Yet Complicated Relationship

Garner, known for her role in the film "13 Going on 30," initially joined the project to play the wife of a mayoral candidate whose son has been kidnapped. Ben Affleck was also set to appear in the film as her husband. However, when Affleck decided to take on the role of her husband, Garner exited the project with a clear response, stating: "We don't want to do it. You will just have extra baggage."

Role Change and New Selection

The film faced changes due to multiple commitments that Matt Damon had. Initially, Damon was considered for the role of the husband, but he stepped away from the project due to his busy schedule. Ultimately, the role of the mayor's wife was given to Kerry Washington, who was interested in the complex dynamics between the couples on screen.

Affleck, in an interview about Garner, said: "Jennifer is amazing, and we are really good friends." He also mentioned that collaborating with Garner again in the future is possible for him, but they left this project to prevent personal relationship issues from negatively impacting their work on screen.

The two actors had previously starred together in three other films, including "Pearl Harbour," "Daredevil," and "Elektra." These past experiences cast a shadow of uncertainty over future collaborations between the two, as each faces their own specific challenges in this regard.

Despite their friendly relationship and mutual respect, the fact that they do not want past emotional burdens to affect their entertainment projects reflects the depth of their thoughtfulness and professionalism in the film industry.
