Joanne McNally, comedian and star of the show Celebrity Traitors, has strongly expressed her disappointment over her absence from the promotions for the second season of the show. While the BBC has announced the air date for this season as October 1 and released a full trailer for it, McNally is clearly not seen in this trailer.
Disappointment Over Lack of Appearance in Trailer
McNally referenced this issue in a post on Instagram, writing: "I’m starting to think I wasn’t even in this show and it was all just a fever dream!" She further added that every time a trailer for Celebrity Traitors is released, she expects to see herself in it, but each time she is disappointed to find she is not featured in the trailers.
In a video she shared with this post, she said: "This is the biggest thing that has happened in my career and every time a new trailer is released, I get excited. But every time I see that I’m not in it, I say, well, they probably want me to be so impactful that they don’t want to clutter things at this stage. But am I really in this show?"
Some Brief Appearances
Although McNally is not seen in the trailer, she briefly appears in two scenes: the first time in a corner of a car alongside Rob Beckett and King Kenny, and the second time in a close-up next to a round table. However, her role in the show and whether she will be recognized as a traitor or loyalist is still unclear.
McNally jokingly mentioned that she might soon insert herself into the trailers using artificial intelligence, stating that she wants to participate in the show in some way. She said: "You know I want to be involved. It’s in my nature. I want to be involved."
Meanwhile, concerns have also arisen about other popular players, including Michael Sheen, as some fans worry he may be eliminated early in the game.
The new season of Celebrity Traitors will air on October 1 at 8 PM local time on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Further details about Joanne McNally's exact role and her impact on the storyline and gameplay in this season have not yet been released.
